The Austin Tri-fecta

Click here to listen to our trip to Austin. Show notes are below:

Live to the flash drive at the Zentri Podcast Studio (iRiver in the cargo pocket of my camo pants)

24 People on Frappr. 1/3rd of Slashdot Review.

Check out the photos. Austin's famous drag queen (Leslie ran for mayor) on a Cervelo.

On Today's Show - Went to Austin and Profesor E. tested out bikes and wetsuits. Tested: Endless Pool, profile design UCM, Cateye compact safety light, Everlast pedometer, capped off with a rocking song by Chiba-Ken.

Items: Audio from Austin Trip. Three shops are the trifecta of triathlon shopping, wrapped in a Chuy's tortilla. Restaurant first, then us in the endless pool chamber, then us again moments after we were in Bicycle sport shop.

(Audio from trip played next)

Zane (Jack and Adam's) was great help, owners of two shops clueless about podcasts. I offered promotion and they declined, so call them up or visit and say something!

Reviews -So you heard Professor E lovin' the Endless Pool. It is really cool. Link on the blog. Profile Design Universal Computer, MountCateye compact safety light, Everlast pedometer

Song: The Distance From Here
Artist:Chiba-Ken
From the Podshow Podsafe Music Network

Enjoy!

Brett -
With the cold weather upon most of the country this time of year, a good episode theme might be to concentrate on the importance of stretching, especially pre and post-run, but also pre and post-cycle and even swimming.

Maybe as a video podcast, too? You know, get someone (exercise expert, tri-expert, etc.) to demonstrate some of the crucial stretching techniques to "not miss" when running in the cold.

Just a thought.

Late!

(sorry, a couple of typo's in the previous post, so i took it out)

Hi Brett,

I really like the sound clips that you did at the beginning of each of latest podcasts. Especially like the Tri-Borg 5000 genetically engineered Super Triathlete! =) That really gets me smiling coz there's so much fun in podcasting, and the possibilities of how the set up the podcast just seems endless. You're one creative guy, Brett!

Well, I've got a question for you:
I've got a group of friends whom I ride with on occassions. These are their bikes: Kuota Calibre, Merlin XtraLight, Merlin Cielo, Specialized Roubaix and my own, Cervelo Soloist. I was wondering if you might want any audio or pictures or videos of these bikes? Just let me know any ideas you might have and I could set up something.

Keep it up, and say hi to Kai!

Darren, I'd love more audio from you. Email me and tell me more about what you have in mind. My address is texafornia at gmail.com

Dude, been trying to send you audio but have no idea how to send a 30mb file to you. Any suggestions?

Yo, Cav. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but blogger knocked my site down for a few hours. I guess the first thing to try is emailing it to my texafornia at gmail.com account. I'm not sure if I have a public ftp site or not. Shoot me an email and let me know more details about what you're sending me.
